Wedding Rings

A wedding ring is a symbol of eternity, just like a circle that has no beginning or an end. It is worn on the hand and placed during the wedding ceremony, and by wearing it the married couple declares their eternal love for each other.

I think the reason why the rings were blessed during the wedding ceremony, because it was a sign of your commitment that you are making to your spouse, to your marriage, and the promise you have made to God.

This is what we had to say to each other when my husband and I exchanged our blessed wedding rings:

"Sweetie, wear this ring as a sign of my love and loyalty. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen"

It was an extremely beautiful feeling that finally my husband and I had given our lifetime commitment, love, and faithfulness to one another the moment we placed our wedding rings on each others finger. Wearing the rings on our finger would always remind us every day of the promise that we had made to continually commit to our marriage, and the promise that God has made for both of us. My husband and I will always remember that married life isn't going to be smooth and easy, but at some point of our lives we choose to love one another, and live by our marriage to freely embrace God's beautiful and wonderful blessings every day.

We should all know that a wedding ring doesn't have to be expensive or covered with all sorts of gems. It should be perfectly chosen by the couple, because it is a continual bond that you both share for the rest of your lives. This bond represents your infinite love and devotion to one another, just like a diamond it is timeless and classic.

My husband and I were so lucky when we bought our wedding rings at KARAT WORLD because it was on sale, and we only paid half of the original price. We choose the White Solid Italian Gold because it perfectly complements both our personality as a couple - plain and simple, yet having a strong and solid relationship with traditional morals and values. Our Wedding Passport

At first, we didn't plan of having a Passport as our Formal Invitation. Since, we want a destination wedding because our relationship requires a lot of traveling for us to be together physically. We decided to come up with something that's related to traveling.

We are happy to present to you our very own personalized wedding passport. Marc and I went through the whole process of making it together despite of our distance. I made most of the layout and design, I showed it to Marc and when approves we proceed to the next process. Marc and his dad helped me with the wordings. It was tough because we need to have each others' confirmation and approval before we decide that it's a go-go then next.

Here are the details of our Wedding Passport:

Passport Cover

The front cover shows a silhouette images of two people who finally found love in each other after years of searching. The airplane represents the distance that separates us, but still we get connected at heart. That is the reason why our wedding is called, "The Journey of Our Love". The back part of the passport is our wedding logo which was made by my Marc (my husband-to-be).

Page 1

The first page has the details for the formal invite which includes our parents' names, the date and time of our wedding, and our chosen wedding venue (church and reception).

Page 2

The second page was more of a short poem on how we journey together to find true love and now are finally going to exchange our marriage vows.

Page 3

Like any other passport, we have provided some detailed information about us and our wedding. It's the same way how it looks like with real passports.

Page 4 and 5

In this page it has all the list of people who are a part of our Wedding Entourage.

Page 6

It shows all the stamps of our wedding date, the "Just Married" stamp, and stamps of our countries (Canada and the Philippines). This only proves that our love is genuine and it was
"Sealed with Love".

Page 7

In this page, you will see a short poem on how two people shared their love across a thousand miles. We also included our baby pictures to let everyone know that we are destined and born for each other, bound to share an everlasting love.

Page 8

The last page of our wedding passport was the "Acknowledgements" in which we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our family and friends, and guests who were there to share the most special day of our lives together as husband and wife.

I was so thrilled and excited when I finally finished working on all the layout and design. It's not easy to make an invitation with personalized touches especially if you want everything to be perfect and turned out the way you want it. They only key to make things easier if you are going to DIY your own wedding invitation is to come up with a wedding theme and the concept that you want for your wedding.

Also, choosing the right paper would not as easy as it may seem, you need to find the ones that you like. Make sure you know how many invites you are going to make, so that you could come up with a rough budget and estimate on how many packs of specialty paper that you'll be needing for you invitation.

NOTE: Always try to do some test prints for you to be able to know if everything is perfect or it needs some changes and adjustments (with size, color, design, and etc.) before you make a final print out or else you'll be wasting more paper and ink.
